These works show the idiosyncrasies of specific botanical colours derived from the natural landscape. The works feature a spectrum of hues from soft beige tones of ivy to deep purple pinks of sloe berries. Colour is applied to the page by drowning the surface in ink. As the colour seeps into the fibres of the surface natural occurring patterns appear and echo both the terrains and textures found in the natural environments. The hues find their way around the page settling into their own rhythm as water does in the natural environment.

All natural colours produced are organic and living. Every effort will be made to preserve the lightfastness of the colours, however there is no guarantee the colours will not change over time. You are advised to keep the paintings away from direct sunlight and to enjoy observing them if they do change.
