This online workshop is an exploration of both ink and pigment harnessed from the landscape. This workshop will show you the methods and tools you need to take your colour-making to the next level. The session will focus on the Lake Extraction Method - turning ink into pigment and paint. I will delve into the chemical and mineralogical reaction that occur when different minerals intertwine.  We will dig deep into modifiers; tweaking ph levels and adding oxides to create a spectrum of hues.

Each participant will be given a recipe worksheet after the workshop to support their bio colour experiments. No tools are required. No previous experience is required, however, basic knowledge of colour making is suggested. Details of online workshop platform will be emailed to each participant ahead of the workshop.
