Bio Colour Workshop - Online - May 8th 2021

Creating colour from the landscape. 
3-hour online-workshop.
Saturday 8th May 2021
1 PM - 4PM

This online-workshop will introduce you to the process of harnessing colour from the landscapes surrounding you. Whether you are deep in the wilds or surrounded by a concrete jungle, this workshop will show you the basic methods and tools you need to go out and create bio colour from your surroundings. 

- Easy to find tools and materials required for bio colour making. 
- Best practices for foraging and working with the seasons.
- Step by step guide to 3 colour making processes - grinding, soaking and boiling. 
- Introduction to modifiers - tweaking PH levels, adding oxides and lightfastness of colour. 
- How to use binders and preservatives. 
- How to track your recipes and experiments. 


Each participant will be given a recipe worksheet after the workshop to support their bio colour experiments. No tools or previous experience is required.
