Once more the faintest whisper of darkening skies and cooler winds bring us to a special time of year.
With the leaves tumbling gently around us, and the shrill light of summer slowly, but surely, giving way to softer hues and lengthening shadows - we set our sights once more towards a small village in Kerry to celebrate the last of the light before the shadows take over.

Fading Light is an annual gathering of gentle souls incorporating music, art, poetry, talks, walks, surf, the odd burst of glorious sunshine, yoga, food & (most importantly) creamypintsbythesea.
Situated in and around the beautiful surrounds of Caherdaniel, Co. Kerry, Fading Light wraps the last Bank Holiday of the year in it's autumnal shroud and invites you to celebrate all that is good in life with friends old and new.

When the space I am working into exists on a larger scale what happens to the marks? When it's the corner of a room for instance each decision means more, because of the time it takes to complete a mark. The space in front of the wall/ behind a structure can also be interrupted, marked into, broken up into dissected plains. This allows for another dimension of drawing.
The site is important to me. Not necessarily it's context or where it is but what it looks like. I like to keep the surface as I found it. Work into it from it's present state. Make a mould of the missing pieces. Add new plains.
