1:1 Mentoring for Artists

Mentoring for Artists Who Are Building Something Real

These 1:1 sessions are grounded in real-world creative practice. Each one is shaped around your work, your goals, and your way of working, with space to reflect, troubleshoot, and plan clear next steps. From admin systems to visibility strategies, funding to sustainable structures, 1:1 mentoring is about building momentum and making informed decisions that honour your process and goals.

Whether you're refining your admin systems, growing your visibility, or navigating a major shift, these sessions offer practical, tailored support to help you move forward with clarity. Each session is rooted in where you’re at, providing honest feedback, clear strategies, and sustainable structures that fit your work. Designed for artists who are committed to the graft, these offerings create space to reflect, plan, and take action at your own pace, with guidance that meets you there.

THIS IS FOR YOU, IF…

  • You’re an early-career artist who needs structure and direction
You’re making work but unsure how to build a sustainable practice. You want tools, strategy, and clarity without the overwhelm.

  • You’re a mid-career artist looking to grow
You’ve got momentum but need support to scale, whether that’s funding, visibility, partnerships, or refining your systems.

  • You’re at a junction, restart, or burnout point
You’ve hit pause, feel stuck, or want to shift direction. You’re ready for perspective, practical support, and a plan that meets you where you are.

  • You’re a freelancer balancing art, admin, and income
You’re stretched thin and need smarter workflows. You want to protect your practice, stay visible, and manage the behind-the-scenes without burning out.

  • You’re developing a project but it has hit a wall
You’ve been plugging away at your project/exhibition/body of work/practice and you’ve run out of momentum, funding or inspiration and need a new strategy.

One Session or Ongoing Support?

A single consultation will give you immediate clarity and actionable next steps.

However, if you’re ready to make deeper shifts in your practice, a bundle of 3–5 sessions gives us the space to develop a tailored, ongoing strategy that reflects how you work.

We’ll address the interwoven parts of your practice and build a plan that supports all of it, so your next steps feel clear, connected and sustainable.

WHY WORK WITH ME?

I’m an artist, producer, and creative entrepreneur with a deep understanding of what it takes to turn ideas into funded, visible, and impactful projects. Over the years, I’ve worked across disciplines — from large-scale outdoor exhibitions and festivals to collaborative residencies, public art, and artist-led initiatives.

As Co-Director of Lay of the Land, I’ve led ambitious, site-responsive projects in wild locations across Ireland, supported by major Arts Council funding and local authority grants. I’ve exhibited internationally and built a practice supported by multiple funding awards — including Project, Bursary, and Professional Development grants.

Before all this, I founded my own creative event production company and co-founded Basic Space, an artist-led initiative in Dublin that supported high-quality, independent exhibitions and residencies.

This wide-ranging experience means I understand the real demands of sustaining a creative life — and I know how to help artists move forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
